I don't see much chatter on here, but it's the only place I know to say this to y'all.
I want to thank you Roses for your presence in BRC this year. I found myself gravitating toward 5:30 and Allante often in my playa wanderings. I was camped with a new group, the LAFers way out at 9:00 - people I didn't know before I got to the playa. It was great to have an alternate, familiar place to be. You were my second home out there, tho I seemed to be there often when most of you were out and about.
Special thanks to those of you who found me sleeping in the Juke Joint firday night, especially to Kam - I was injured and you helped bandage me up. And to that man I don't remember who offered me Vicodin at the burn barrel that night - those saved me my friend. Turns out my injury is a separated AC joint - right shoulder. I'm living in a sling these days and healing slowly.
George, I got to stick around to see the man burn, but yes I had a rough time packing up. We left mid-day sunday. Starlight, unfortunately, had to do most of the work. Yay for a strong woman!
Love you guys!

Re: Hi Dusty Roses!
Wed, September 17, 2008 - 9:17 AMHi Smeeed!
Dang, sucks about the shoulder. It was absolutely GREAT seeing you again, it made the place seem even more like home. I arrived later than I usually do and the whole camp was out on the art car. The first familiar faces I saw were you and Starlight (well, not true, Babs was sort of awake when I arrived).
If you *ever* need a hand (or a shoulder) with something. You know where I live. It would be a pleasure.

Wed, September 17, 2008 - 3:00 PMOoooh.. AC joint. That's worse than you were thinking... Ouch.
...and you're welcome to sleep on the cushions any old time. Just tip the hippies off, first. They're lumpy, eh?.
(and come around during the day, will ya? so you can hang around with more of us! We miss you, ya big lug.)
