Hi all!
Kai and I will be grinding on the interior of the art car this Saturday, Feb 26th. Starting about 1pm, so we can all sleep in. Stopping about 4pm so we can get to our hot dates!
We only have two grinders so far, and one wire whisk that goes on a drill, so only three people would actually be able to work at one time.
Let the sparks fly!
(and kai, re-confirm?)

I just got a nice BIG scraper with a long handle for better levage when scraping off the rust and that sticky skid-proof floor covering. I will probably swing by Heidi's in the early evening times once or twice this week. Maybe Wednesday and Friday.
I also believe the plan is to continue working on "de-rusting/striping" our beautiful art mobile this weekend, so count me in Saturday and Sunday too.
Heya Heidi? If I needed to could I throw in a load or two of laundry while I am there? Maybe some over-alls and my work shirts. -

Tue, February 22, 2005 - 11:40 AMSeeing as how it'd probably be polite of us to knock off anything noisy by when the light fades, weekends will probably be the best. And maybe the easiest for most folks. I expect very few will be SAH people like me, or have jobs that (start and) let off early like Kai.
Which day is usually more open? Sats or Sun?

Hey yeah. No sweat. Maybe I'll find you a basket to keep your gear in so you don't have to schlep them from SJ everytime!
...and everyone respond on the pipe amounts/shade meeting, okay? (see yahoo list!) Kinda freaking out about it, in a low energy way.
so many details, coming up so fast... -

Re: Art Car Daze!
Wed, February 23, 2005 - 9:46 AMOkay tiddly winks.
Saturday, 9am to 1pm, so we can knock off and go to sCary's 2:00 small-art group if we like. ...or just go home and put the feet up.
On the agenda: peeling/scraping off the rest of the flooring stickum, drill-powered-wire-brushing the rust and priming the wire brushed areas.
Bring: Drills, corded and cordless. Gloves. Any wire brushes you might have (to go in the drill) 'Messy' clothes to play in.
Soup for lunch again. (I'm such a stupendous cook!)
Ping me if you're coming to play!
...and invite other great folk to play too!
